Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hey i went to orth wed because my knee hurt been doing crossfit and i believe running and jumping wore it down it was sudden xray shows it looks good he put a shot in it but now the pain is every time i take a step or bend it it hurts feels like my sheen bone under knee is pressing against knee
Sometimes only an X-ray may not show the pathology. MRI knee joint may be necessary to know about meniscal tears. Ultrasound imaging of knee helps in determining if any fluid is accumulated in the knee. So please discuss the same with your orthopedic surgeon.
For pain relief, you can take NSAIDs like ibuprofen twice daily for 1 week. To prevent gastric irritation, tab. Pantoprazole 40 mg can be taken before food once daily. Opioids can also help in pain relief like hydrocodone, Tramadol etc.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
