Suggest Treatment For Persistent Laryngitis And Cough
I have some Celestamine tablets. The instruction paper is not with them. I have had laryngitis ...still lingering and have now got a phlegmy cough. Also have a sinus head. Will Celestamine tablets help all of this and what else should I take. Do not want to go onto antibiotics. Thank you
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of persistent laryngitis and cough which occurs due to infection bacterial or viral of respiratory tract.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper evaluation. Doctor may order blood test and throat swab test and can start treatment accordingly. Acute laryngitis gets better on its own in week and chronic laryngitis require proper medical interventions. Take Ibuprofen for pain and inflammation and take steam twice a day. You can take steroids like prednisolone for reducing inflammation.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
