General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Possible causes like gastroenteritis must be ruled out. As of now ask him to drink plenty of water to keep himself hydrated.

Most of the cases are caused by viruses and will settle by itself. In severe cases antibiotics may be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
