Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, my name is Courtney. I m 29. Have had one child naturally, he s 8 now. I recently was diagnosed with severe dysplagia after an abnormal pap. They performed a colposcopy & took 3 biopsies from my cervix. Over the last 4-6 months I ve had sudden onset tailbone pain and low back pain with constant lower and cramping and aching (which is why I went to the doctor initially). Biopsies are still pending, precancerous for sure doc says, hopefully they ll be ruling out carcinoma (I think that s what the doctor said) ... Waiting to find out. The pain in my low back & tailbone has been intensifying steadily. Now I m in pain constantly & have to sit on a donut cushion... Wondering if the pain could be associated with possible cervical cancer?? I m scared and in pain...
The persistent lower back pain may be of various reasons as acute muscle spasm, bony inflammation as the tailbone , metastasis of distant organ malignancy or else.
Till the biopsy report turn out, I would recommend
- sitz bath regularly - avoid sitting on hard surfaces - use a soft cushion to sit - analgesic as tramadol hydrochloride or ibuprofen after meals if no history of drug sensitivity - discuss the need of an x-ray or MRI spine when you visit your doc next scheduled time
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
