Suggest Treatment For Persistent Night Sweats And Anemia

Hello. I have recently been diagnosed with anemia. My white, red and hemoglobin, and hemotocrit levels were taken twice. The first time the levels were below the bottom range. The second time each one was well below the bottom range. My family doctor wants me to see an oncologist/hemotologist. I also have night sweats frequently and go on bouts of fevers ranging from 99.9 to 101. Is it possible that these are symptyoms of leukemia?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
Anemia with sweating/low grade fever could be due to-
- Debilitating infection infection like Tuberculosis , kidney infection
- hemolytic anemia-where red blood cells are destructed-
- Blood cancer( leukemia- )associated with enlarged lymph nodes.
Persistent night sweats, fever & anemia is a combination of symptoms that needs concern. The treatment offered would be cause specific. You need to have a through health check up & needful treatment earliest.
Thanks
