Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yes, my nose bleeds every day, several times a day if I blow it. I have had nose bleeds in the past but not like this. It is like a sore that never heals, then it bleeds for a minute or two. I am seeing and ENT and he has given me an oil (made in his office) and a script but this has been going on for over a year.
Persistent epistaxis (nose bleeding) is commonly seen with hypertension, Sinus diseases and nasal polyps. So in my opinion, you should definitely get done blood pressure monitoring, CT paranasal sinuses and nasal endoscopic examination.
Better to consult another ENT doctor and discuss all these. Avoid frequent nose pricking by finger. Do steam inhalation 4-5 times a day. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar,
Pulmonologist
