Suggest Treatment For Persistent Osteoarthritis

Can an endocrinologist help me ? I have osteoporosis/osteopinia(Sp?/osteoarthritis.....the doctors all call it by a different name. I have been on Boniva, Vitamin C, Vitamin D3, and lots of Calcium for over 5 years. My bone density has not improved. I need back surgery, but my bones are too thin. I am in a lot of pain, and I don t know what to do. I would appreciate your help.

Hello,
I have studied your case. If you are taking all these treatment and still there is no increase in bone density then you need to take hormonal therapy. You can start with injection teriparatide one daily for three months. Also you need to start oestrogen hormonal therapy. For that you need to get your weight and other hormonal checkup done. You will need help of gynaecologist for this. I hope this answer will be useful for you.Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
