Suggest Treatment For Persistent Pain After Shoulder Replacement Surgery
My healthy 94 year old father would like to have complete shoulder replacement to alleviate pain from osteoarthritis. He has history of bypass surgery and stents 10 years ago or so. He is on eliquis and does not take pain medicines. The pain interferes with his sleep and recently stopp d him from playing golf. How suCcesful is this surgery in someone 94 years. In some people, persistent pain is seen after shoulder replacement surgery. He can take analgesics like tramadol for pain relief. If symptoms persist he might require steroid injection also.
