Suggest Treatment For Persistent Pain In The Breasts
I have been having pain in my left breast for about a month now. Had a monogram two week or so ago and everything is fine. My doctor found a lump under the nipple but monogram showed fatty tissue but I m still having pain on the area and other areas on my breast. My doctor says it s muscle aches. Need second opinion.
Sorry about the discomfort. Breast pain for a month is definitely not normal. If a pafient of mine complains of breast pain, i would acertain the absence of redness and warmth of the breast to exclude breast infection or abscess. However, having done a mammogram and Ultrasound scan of the breast, I believe you have a breast lump which is worth some concern and which was not well interpreted by your doctor.
You have to revisit your doctor for a referral to a general surgeon who is a doctor who treats diseases of the breast and abdominal organs with surgery. The surgeon would refer you for a test which involves taking a sample of the lump for a closer view on a microscope. Once this is done, a better diagnosis would be given.
In the interim, please take over-the-counter painkillers
I hope I have answered your question, please feel free to ask more questions for clarity.
