Suggest Treatment For Persistent Pain In The Thumb Joint
Hi! I have tendonitis in my thumb area due to a sport injury a couple years back. I think I may have injured it further without allowing it to heal completely. I am also beginning my career in ultrasound where I will be using my right hand (that has the tendonitis in the thumb) on a daily basis. I ve been to the doctors and they only prescribed me Alieve. What are some exercises I can do to help heal the tendonitis? I feel tension/tightness in my middle thumb joint and a little in my wrist area. Even without using the hand, the pain is there, but even more so when I use it for work.

Suggest Treatment For Persistent Pain In The Thumb Joint
Hello, As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedic and plan for an MRI scan. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
