My mother had a stroke six years ago. She's 91 and has had several chest infections over the last 18mths and has been left with a persistant productive cough. While her prognosis isn't very good I wondered if there was something that could suppress the cough which can go on for long periods and leaves her exhausted.
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your concern. Chest physiotherapy and deep breathing exercises are advisable to clear her chest. YOu can also give her steam inhalations as it will soothen her airways and cough will come down. Hope I have solved your query. Thanks.
