Suggest Treatment For Persistent Redness And Burning Sensation In The Penis
Red penis for about 3 weeks tried-= 1% Clotrimazole antifungal cream to no Advil . Went to family doctor and she prescribed 2% Ketoconazole twice a day for 2weeks, been using since Monday evening. After swimming in pool, penis is so red & sore on fire, cannot even wash it it burns, what the heck is this?
* As per my surgical experience, the issue of redness with burning in penis indicates balanitis with different possible bacteria or fungal infection.
* Need precise oral antibiotics, antifungal, anti-inflammatory medicines to cure at earliest.
* Clean the genitals with antiseptic liquid, maintain hydration with plenty of liquids.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
