I am 15 weeks pregnant and my age is 35 then i have rhematoid arthritis for past 6 years now i consult with rheumatoid specialist he gave me tablet hcqs 200 mg and ranitidine 150 mg to take kindly tell is it compulsory to takè during this pregnànt or need not and my rà level in blood is 126 kindly confirm thanking you..
Your symptoms seem to be related to rheumatoid arthritis. I see through the query that you have already taken the treatment. Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) is a medication commonly used in pregnancy to treat autoimmune disease. This use has shown that HCQ is very safe in pregnancy. Ranitidine is also considered safe during pregnancy. I suggest to use the medications as prescribed by your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
