Hello,
Take water and fluids in adequate amount to help better bowel movement. Avoid
constipation, take laxatives if needed. Constipation triggers
gastritis. Include fiber or fiber supplements in your regular diet. Avoid sedentary lifestyle, do exercises and walking. You can take
pantoprazole, once daily for 15 days or antacids for relieve. Avoid oily, spicy, junk food. Once gastritis gets controlled your rib pain should reduce, it it is because of gastritis.
However, persistent rib pain can also be due to nerve impingement, pulled muscle, trauma or injury to that particular area where you are experiencing pain. Sometimes underlying medical conditions also cause such symptoms, get clinically examined by a GP to rule out
costochondritis, fracture,
fibromyalgia, developing neuropathy, etc. You will have to get few blood tests and imaging tests done. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
