Suggest Treatment For Persistent Sciatica Nerve Pain
My partner is suffering from sciatica pain - his doctor prescribed Lyrica but it doesn t seem to be helping. He would say that the pain is about the same as it was a week ago. What else can we do to help relief the pain. I have been reading that once you start Lyrica you shouldn t just stop it - this has me concerned.
Welcome to HCM This is Dr Amit. in addidtion to taking LYRICA 1.Do not bend, lift, or sit in a soft, low chair; your pain will get worse. 2.Medicines such as acetaminophen, aspirin, or ibuprofen will probably help ease the pain which are easily available over the counter. 3.Try a cold pack to see if it helps the pain
Some Facts About Lyrica dosage 1.Do not stop using Lyrica without first talking to your doctor, even if you feel fine. 2.You may have increased seizures or withdrawal symptoms such as headache, sleep problems. Ask your doctor how to avoid withdrawal symptoms when you stop using Lyrica.
3.Do not change your dose of Lyrica without your doctor's advice. Tell your doctor if the medication does not seem to work as well in treating your condition Feel free to ask if you have any doubts Regards
