Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m allergic to dust pollution and cold I get continuous sneezing in morning daily. Sneeze then runny nose and watery eyes. Three years back I took medication from ENT specialist, she suggested some spray and it was highly effective to me.. That I didn t sneeze for even once.. I was absolutely fine for next 2 years Again it started slowly and now suffering badly. Please suggest nasal spray and medicine
Normally if a person is allergic to a particular agent, avoidance is advised but since it would be very difficult to avoid pollutants, you would have to use medication as you mentioned.
Topical nasal sprays that are commonly used in persons with these symptoms are nasonex, nasocort, flonase, rhinocort
In addition to the sprays, you can consider trying antihistamine/decongestant combinations such as zyrtec d, claritine d, allegra d.
If the combination of these medications is not enough to help your symptoms, some persons try medications such as singulair or ketotifen. These medications work at different points in the allergy response.
I hope this helps
