Suggest Treatment For Persistent Sore Throat And Cough

Hello! So, a couple weeks ago my best friend had a sore throat and a cough, and now I have it. She told me she just drank hot tea with lots of honey and took allergy medicine at night to make sure she wasn t mouth breathing while she was asleep. I ve tried everything she told me, but it s not really working. Do you know what it could be? I haven t had a fever or anything like that, it s just been a sore throat and a cough. What could it be? What could help it go away? Thank you! :-)

Hi.

Thanks for the query!

Sore throat and cough could be due to many possible reasons.

I would suggest you to gargle with betadiene 3 times a day for next 5 days and a warm saline rinse after every meal until you recover. This will help you with your sleep as well.

Kindly visit a physician to rule out infection as you will have to take a course of antibiotics if there is any infection present.

Hope this helps.

Take care!
