General & Family Physician 's  Response
Forceful vomiting and retching may cause sore throat. For instance you can use lozenges containing antiseptic for soothing sore throat and warm saline gargles. Avoid taking spicy and too much oily food for some days and before retiring to bed, have gargles with chlorhexidine mouth wash. Painkillers can be taken as required in case you feel considerable pain in the throat otherwise not needed. These measures will relieve your sore throat. In case of fever, increasing pain on swallowing or systemic upset, you will need your throat properly examined and treat any impending infection. Stay blessed.
