Suggest Treatment For Persistent Ulcers On The Lips

I had oral sex yesterday and I am really scared I have an STI or STD. I have ulcers on the inside of my top lip just a couple but one main one (not very big) and the crease of my mouth is really sore. I am really really worried and I don't know what to do. I ask a couple of my friends and one said its probably just mouth ulcers but I just don't know. Please help me !!!

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern.

As per your query you have persistent ulcers on the lips after having oral sex which seems to be due to viral manifestations and due to poor hygiene of genitalia.

Need not to worry, I would suggest you to consult an oral physician once and get evaluated and go for clinical examination and investigation like biopsy from scrapings from lips which could be helpful diagnosis.

-Maintain complete oral hygiene.
-Avoid lip licking and sucking.
-Avoid intake of fried and sharp substances and apply ice cubes.
-Drink plenty of fluids to maintain hydration.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from Apthous ULcers or Canker Sores and does not seems to be STD as STD causing ulcers in mouth has an incubation period that is a symptoms free period and as you had oral sex yesterday therefore, it is not likely to be STD..

I would suggest you to start gargling with warm saline solution.
Gargle with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
Take a Vitamin B complex daily..
You can take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Avoid spicy and hard foods..
Take a soft and bland diet..
You can also suck ice and do cool water rinses..
In case of no improvement consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
