Suggest Treatment For Persistent Vaginal Spotting

I had a spotting last month after my period and it didn t stop for.like 10 days so i told to my doctor about it and she prescribed me.the dicynone 500mg total of 10tablets . After that it stopped but my problem is I haven t had my period and I am discharging a white blood for almost a week now. Does the medicine prescribed me affects my cycle? Well I always have my period every month I am supposed to have it on the 15th of the month.

Hi,

Because your period is later than usual it would be best to have a urinary pregnancy test at home to rule out pregnancy first. If the test is negative, meaning you are not pregnant, then this is reassuring and you may choose to wait for a week or so.

On the other hand I would recommend you to have a gynecological visit to rule out infection and other possible gynecological causes of the spotting that you had. A transvaginal ultrasound and a pap smear might be ordered as well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
