Suggest Treatment For Persistent Vaginal Thrush

I was raped a month ago and a week after that I went to get tested. All of my STD results were negative but I was positive for vaginal thrush, she gave me some cream and a pill that you insert into your vagina then told me to come back in three months to be tested again. He took off the condom half way through but pulled out when he came. A month later the itchiness returned, I used some of the cream she gave me : clotrimazole but it got worse. I m really scared I have something serious, please help.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The condition sounds to be due to cervicitis or vaginitis most likely.

* In addition to local cream, anti-fungal, antibacterial medicines with anti-inflammatory drugs and douching with sitz bath added Epsom salt will help a great way to heal it faster.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
