Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
33yr male, woke today with petechiae on shin. Very old sore throat. Fast heart beat this evening. Just back 3 days from holiday in Canary island. Generally well, been sleeping earlier at night than previous since giving up smokiy in nee year. Had rash on cheeks around nose, scaly at a point a few weeks back but responded to moisturiser eventually
Take tab Amoxy-clav [Augmentin] for 10 days and Betadine gargles, steam Karbol plus caps and if possible get a throat swab. Do ASO titer and CBC [especially platelets, PT and INR]. It might be hemorrhagic fever. Take lots of fluids especially coconut water, fruits, boiled vegetables, and anti-oxidants like amla, aloe vera etc., and tab Natalins Rx for a week. Do some breathing exercise, it relieve stress too.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
