Suggest Treatment For Pigmentation On My Face And Under My Chin
I have pigmentation on my face, the whole area under my chin and both the sides of my face and dark circles under my eye. I have tried skinlite cream for the last 1 month and it has worked well and removed the pigmentation. But some pigmentation is still there on both the cheeks and chin. I have read on the net that using this skinlite cream regularly and if stopped I will get the pigmentation back and sometimes some places turn red on my face, Please advise if I should continue.
Based on the history you have shared, yes depigmentation creams can reduce pigmentation temporarily and can recur back. A dermatologist review to consider for UV therapy and the latest options should be done.
If spots are due to melasmas may need topical tretinoins or corticosteroids but should only be used after a detailed examination by a dermatologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
