Hello

Thank you for posting on HCM and i appreciate your concern about acne.

Acne, as you must be aware is pretty common condition caused chiefly due to hormonal influence and clogging of pores and followed by infection and inflammation. It has tendency for recurrence and complications like pigmentation and scarring, thus mandates proper treatment at the earliest.

Treatment usually depends on the severity of of acne. Severity of acne is graded from a scale of 1 to 4, with higher grade suggesting more severity. Proper diagnosis of grade of acne and associated co-morbidities like pigmentation or scarring is not possible without proper examination or good clinical photographs. I would suggest you consult a good dermatologist for proper management or alternatively you can post your query with good quality pictures through my profile link: http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-hardik-pitroda/67169.

Usually, I advise proper course of oral antibiotics with or without oral isotretinoin for few months.

Additionall,y i suggest use of antibiotic cream containing nadifloxacin/clindamycin and a gel containing benzoyl peroxide and adapalene.

Use good quality face wash like Fash foaming facewash and a moisturizer like Cetaphil DAM on regular basis.

Resistant cases may require procedure based treatment like chemical peeling, laser and light therapy etc.

Avoid junk food as far as possible and include plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet.

Hope this will take care of your condition.

Thank you
