Suggest Treatment For Pimples On The Penile Shaft

Pimple like bump on the shaft of my penis, popped it, little puss, light colored blood and clear liquid came out. It went away, but was still kinda there, just smaller, and came back up. When I tried to pop it again nothing came out but it swelled up and is sore to touch. I am sexually active and masterbate reguarly. What is it and how can I get rid of it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

This looks like it's a boil. (corbuncle). Generally, we advise for improved hygiene and daily wash with soapy water. Topical antibiotics like mupiricin 2 to 3 times a day for about 7 to 10 days is generally recommended.

It would heal in a few days. See your doctor if it didn't improve in a few days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Mahboob Ur Rahman , General & Family Physician
