Suggest Treatment For Pinched Nerve And Shoulder Pain

I think I have a pinched nerve in my back below my left shoulder. Have seen doctor who has treated me with cortisone injection and pills for 4 days plus a muscle relaxer. Nothing has touched the pain. He put me on Tylenol 3 two days ago. Still no relief from pain. I think we were going on a diagnosis of muscle sprain/strain, but I don t believe it s muscular now. What are symptoms of a pinched nerve and how do you relieve the pain? He is on vacation (wouldn t you know?) and won t be back until July 27. Thanks for you advice.

hi..persistent pain on shoulders if associayed with neck movements has to be evaluated..
before taking any drugs plzzz go for some test like SERUM B12 , X RAY CERVICAL SPINE..if they are normal dont worry..
if abnormal plzz contact doctor ..with that test results..
CT SCAN OF CERVICAL SPINE also advisable if X RAY result shows abnormality...
