Suggest Treatment For Pink And Itchy Right Eye
YYYY@YYYY Hello, I think my son 15 might have pink eye. Right eye only tho so im questioning. It is inflamed on outside top and bottom. The eye itself is pink slightly and itchy. Is there a product on the market that will relieve symptoms? He is scheduled for surgery next Tuesday a.m. in Portland and our tickets are already purchased, I don t drive so is it truly necessary for me to get him into a Dr.? Thank you

There is viral and there is bacterial. Bacterial is more likely if it is ONE eye, if there is purulence and certainly if there is demonstrable bacteria like on culture or with a bacterial sinus infection. These need antibiotics. I cannot say in your particular case without an exam.
