Suggest Treatment For Pinkish Vaginal Discharge While On Regestrone
Hi doctor, I am going to aa holy place so as per my doctor s prescription I am taking regestrone 5mg tablets from last 3 days twice a day( morning 11 and night 11). But suddenly I found very little pinkish discharge today, I got confused because of me whole plan will get spoiled so I have taken regestrone again at around 6:30 pm now I couldn t see any discharge. Why this has happened like this? Please clarify.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Regestrone tablet contains ingredient namely 'Norethisterone'. It is indicated for the treatment of irregular, painful or heavy periods and as a contraceptive. Since it is a hormonal preparation, it might cause some side effects in the form of pink vaginal discharge or intermittent spotting. However, such side effects would subside over a period of time. Kindly continue with the medications as prescribed. In case if such symptoms do not subside and becomes bothersome, you need to seek medical attention promptly.
