Suggest Treatment For Pleurisy

Hi, I have had 13 cases of pleurisy in the last 17 years lasting from 2.5 months to 9 months. My doctor just keeps telling me to take ibuprofen and wait for it to pass. I called to get an appointment with a pulmonologist and the secretary told me they don t see people for just that. Is there something I should be doing or looking into or is this just something I should live with?
