hi im Kenneth two weeks ago i was diagnosed with pneumomediastinum and couldn't breath and because of it i get panicky and nervous, the illness went away for a few days and its affecting my daily life to where i cant even walk without feeling tired and out winded
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your concern. Pneumomediastinum is common in asthma and bronchitis patients. And these can cause tiredness and breathlessness. So in my opinion, we should rule out asthma and bronchitis in your case. So consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). PFT will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only. You may need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS). Don't worry, you will be alright. First diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
