Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I have Poison Ivy on my face, around my chin area. I just broke out over nite. I am using Triamcinolone Actonide Cream UPS 0.1% is the the right cream for Poision Ivy. This is my first time to every break out. Is there a home remedy also for this stuff. Ok Thank You
If you have a poison ivy rash then is probably due to Allergic reaction caused by the poisonous toxin.. It is commonly treated with anti allergics and steroids..
You should continue applying Triamcinolone Acetonide ointment and along with it you can take anti allergics like Benadryl or Levocetrizine for reducing itching and rashes.. You can apply Caladryl or calamine lotion to soothe the skin.. Oatmeal containing products or oatmeal bath can help.. Do cool compresses over the rashes..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
