Suggest Treatment For Polymyositis
My wife has polymyositis and has been on prednisone for 30 years . Its eating her up skin and bones and her Arthritis Dr. has given her two treatments of rotuxan so far to reduce her prednisone. she just had a bout of UTI and has been on Bactrum and levulofluoxin. She takes sugar medicine and vitamins. Would this cause her recent chills and fever and a bout of violent shaking . The ER doc says she was somewhat constipated. What can you tell me?

Do a urine culture and sensitivity as start antibiotics according to culture results.
Most UTI improves with proper antibiotics. Drink plenty of water.
