Suggest Treatment For Poor Appetite While On Oxycodone

HI. My friend s room mate had a fractured shoulder repaired surgically on Tues. By Thurs she seemed very over medicated on pain meds. She is 64 years old. Today she still seems confused and has difficulty processing things. Also some issues with ambulation. She has not taken any pain melds since Thursday morning. She was taking oxycodone 10 mg every 12 hours and Percocets for breakthrough pain. How long would the side effects I described normally last? Should my friend get her to the emergency room? She also has poor appetite and needs help eating. Needs reminded to drink fluids.

Hello

I am sorry for your friend situation. As you explain the situation if she feels not well she can go to ER to get medical help.Usually the side effects do not lasts so far so better to be re evaluated by her doctor if she can.

Regards
