Suggest Treatment For Poor Memory In A Person With Mass In Brain
My aunt has what they call a mass growing on her brain. They did not call it a tumor. She is fainting forgets the day or month it is, her balance is off. They put her on steroids which has coused her problems. This has been going on for about three months. They don t seam to know what it is. The say it is not cancer. She has had scans, mri s etc. No one will tell us what it is and they are not doing anything to get rid of it
If the mass found on her brain is benign (not malign), and if she is having these episodes of fainting and memory loss, then, perhaps surgery is the best treatment for her. However, you should get an opinion from neuro-surgeon to understand better her situation and benefits from surgery and other treatments.
If surgery cannot be carried out, then, it remains only supportive treatment, and in this case, you might require to hire a training nurse specialized to handle cases like of your aunt.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
