My 52 yr old husband was just diagnosed with multi lobe pneumonia. no other health issues what so ever other than a deviated septum and post nasal drip. onset of very mild symptoms, we think, may have been have been at least a month. His o2 sat was 85 this past Saturday. Clinic gave him 100mcg of Rocephin and he is currently on Levoquin and Prednisone. O2 currently running at 94. We are going to his PCP on Monday. We have planned a 30th anniversary trip to Tahiti, flying 16 hours.. Orlando to Papeete, for 10 days. We are leaving next Thursday the 10th. Looking for a bit of wisdom and advice on this one..... Please help. Thank You..

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since your husband is on medication and o2 sat is good, and if he feels good too, taking meds regularly while on the trip, I do not think is a problem traveling.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anila Skenderi, General & Family Physician
