Suggest Treatment For Pre-cancerous Cells On Colposcopy

Hello, I am 5'4, 170 lbs.,26-year- old woman, a non-smoker, no children with good condition. I have not tested positive for any STDs. However, I have had genital warts in the past. I was treated for them and they went away. I also tested negative for HPV. However, I had a colposocopy done and they found a low level of pre-cancerous cells. My doctor said she would do a pap smear in 6 months to follow up. Shouldn't I get rid of them now to decrease any chance of them becoming cancerous? Cancer runs in my family.
