Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was feeling gassy this afternoon after eating 2 slices of pepperoni pizza. Earlier this evening I felt as if I needed to have a bowel movement and may have pushed a little too hard because after I got up I noticed blood in the toilet. This has never happened to me before and needless to say I was shocked. What could this be?
Hello! I have been through your question. According your concern you shouldn't be worry because I think this is a sign of hemorrhoids. Usually this could happened when you eat something spicy and have constipation. Hemorrhoids cause pain, severe itching, and difficulty sitting, blood on your tissue after having a bowel movement as you had. Fortunately, they are treatable. Although hemorrhoids are painful, they aren’t life-threatening and often go away on their own without treatment. What I suggest for you to prevent or avoid worsening hemorrhoids is , avoid straining during a bowel movement also, try to increase your water intake, drinking enough water can keep your stool from hardening and if you’re constipated use some fiber supplements. . I hope my answer help you. I wish a quick recovery.
