Suggest Treatment For Pressure And Pain In Ear After Hearing Some Buzzing

I had something, a bug or fly, go into my ear while sleeping! It buzzed and felt like wings or something until it finally stopped after about four or five minutes. It feels awful... I have no idea if it flew out or if it is still in there. I tried to flush my ear out with no success. It has starting hurting more and more now. Not like an earache more like it is stopped up and pressure building up. What should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear thanks for the question.

You need to visit ENT specialist in your area on priority. Insects when enter in ear, get stuck inside due to ear wax, which is very sticky in nature and finally die. Later on wax collects around it and blocks the ear. It needs to be removed . ENT expert will either remove by forceps if it is visible or by method of irrigation with the help of syringe filled with water. It's a simple process. Go for it. Post removal use antibiotic ear drop for three days.

I hope my reply will benefit you. Please write for follow up queries. I wish you good health. Kindly write a feedback . Thanks
