Suggest Treatment For Pressure In The Buttocks

I broke my leg nearly a year ago and I ve been sleeping in a recliner for a few months. No matter what I do all the pressure is on my right buttock. (Right leg broke) my bott cheek is swollen and painful. Ice makes it feel a bit butt when I m sitting. Is there anything I can do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,,

To reduce pressure on your buttocks, take muscle relaxants like Baclofen, one SOS when needed after food. Naproxen & combiflam are equally effective. Alternately apply heat & ice on the affected area. Use a cushion or a rubber donut may be used to reduce the pain & swelling.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
