yes i am a 31 year old women and I have had my period foe almost 5 months now it doesn t matter if im on my birth control or not its always there I have seen my doctor and had test done and it all comes back good now I have my normal period but its really heave and there are clots the size of a toony
Hello and welcome to HCM, Continuous periods for 5 months is abnormal and this condition is called abnormal uterine bleeding. Hormonal imbalance is the most common cause of abnormal uterine bleeding. You have mentioned that the current problem that you are facing is that of heavy periods and passage of blood clots. Heavy periods and passage of blood clots could again be due to hormonal imbalance. Drugs are available to control heavy bleeding and to control passage of blood clots. You need to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment and thus management.
