I just found out that I have Pulmonary hyperaeration. No acute disease. My symptoms include a tenderness in my back upper rib cage. I also have problems walking uphill; can t catch my breath. (I saw a Pulmonary specialist a few months ago and passed the breathing test.)
You have absolutely benign findings.Pulmonary hyperaeration is due to conditions like chronic asthma,COPD etc. Underlying cause need to be treated. Problem in walking uphill require proper evaluation. It is important to rule out cardiopulmonary causes. You may need further investigations. Treatment depend upon findings. It is good that breathing tests are normal.
