Suggest Treatment For Purpura Rashes On Body After Tick Bite
I found a radium size gray tick on my inner thigh on 8/3/15 that was imbedded. I removed it and it popped. I took 2-3 days of some doxycycline that I had; however broke out with purpura rash 6 days after tick bite. I have had this over 3 weeks. Saw ms and was prescribed doxycycline x 10 days. During thT period of time I had terrible abdominal pain- felt like appendicitis and tenderness in my liver. Lower and upper abdominal pain, joint pain soles of my feet have a rash still and are burning, bones in elbow were so painful, pain radiated into the back of my neck into my jaw and then the back of my head to the top of my head with excruciating H/A for 2-3 days. They did multitude of tests that all came back negative. I was referred to ER on 8/15/15 for RMSF Titers to be done and to check liver and pancreas which was normal. IGM came back on 8/20/15 negative and IGF was positive. 1:128Hceted 10days of doxycycline on 8/21/15 and have since began breaking out with vasculitis worse than ever. Was placed on Prednisone on 8/2015 and when my BS peaks at 5-6 hrs between 440-596, I have new breakout with rash. My legs and feet and soles of feet along with my arms breakout every night and the soles of my feet burn terribly. 3-4 md s have seen and dx me with RMSF but the infectious disease control says it is not RMSF because the IGM is not elevated even though the IFA is. He said to stop the doxycycline and see Primary care doctor to rule out other reasons. I am totally confused. Any direction as to what or who I should see?
