Suggest Treatment For Pus And Blood Filled Lump On Palate
My 3 year old has been complaining of a sore mouth for last few days. Tonight I saw a lump on the roof of his mouth with a drop of pus coming out of it. I pressed it and more pus and blood came out of it. It was obviously painful. It is situated about half an inch behind his front top teeth and is about a quarter of an nice long. He has no temperature and has been eating as normal. The only thing he has stopped doing is sucking his soother as he says it hurts.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your query a lump over the palate behind front teeth that oozes out pus and blood seems to be an abscess and as it is an inch behind front teeth it can be a dental abscess if any of his tooth..
I would suggest you to consult a Pediatric dentist and get him evaluated and a clinical evaluation along with an X ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
As of now you can apply a numbing gel over the lump to relieve pain as well as you can give him tylenol to relieve pain..' Feed him with a soft diet and make him drink fluids with a glass rather than sucking through a feeding bottle..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
