Suggest Treatment For Pus-filled Boil On Leg And Ankle Swelling

I have a boil at the end of the leg that is very sore and showing signs of it popping. However I have severe swelling of the ankle and it really hurts, I believe there is some puss there as well however there is no spot for the puss to leave. What should I do?

It is likely that you have an abscess, this is a localized collection of pus. Since there is also swelling of the lower aspect of the leg, this may mean that you have cellulitis.

Cellulitis refers to infection of the skin and underlying tissues.

It would be best to see your doctor for an assessment. Incision and drainage of the abscess may be needed.
Antibiotics would also be needed as well.
