Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi...my mom has a puss filled bump on her back..at times the puss comes out which is in mild red colour and stinky...unfortunately there are no proper surgeons at my place to remove it..can u please tell is it possible for any other specialist doctors to remove it other than a surgeon
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pus filled bump on back which occur because of numerous sebaceous glands in this area and due to infection of hair follicle leading to folliculitis.
I would suggest you to
1) Maintain complete hygiene of that area.
2) Apply topical antibacterial cream bacitracin on these bumps.
3) Take diet rich in multivitamins.
If condition doesn't get well in a week then consult dermatologist/general physician for proper examination and treatment. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like minocycline, steroid ointment and may recommend surgical removal.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
