Suggest Treatment For Pus Filled Pimple In Groin Area

I have what looks like a pimple on the inside of my leg on the bikini line area, it had a white head and I popped it and pus shot out and the after only blood would come out and now it s just that clear liquid. Is it just a infected hair or an irritated hair follicle or something? Or just a pimple? Or could it be something bad that could harm me? I m worried about it, not to mention I m a major worrier about anything that s not normal to me, but I worry about getting an infection or a spider bite or merca or staff, u just never know and I d like to know what u think it is and what I should do?

Hi,

Thanks for your question.

I can understand your concern.

It is most likely a infection of hair follicle (folliculitis) which may give rise to big abscess.
It may be due to excessive sweating or injury or insect bite.

If you are obese or there is family history of diabetes or other areas of skin also involved, it will be better to check your blood sugar level.
Elevated blood sugar level give rise to repeated skin infection.

Try some anti-inflammatory medicine like diclofenac with serratopeptidase.
If there is no relief or it increase in size or there is fever there is need for antibiotic like amoxicillin + clavulunic acid.
