Suggest Treatment For Puss Filled Nodules On Tonsils

My son keeps getting these pus-filled nodules on his tonsils and it swells up until it almost covers his throat. He has been to the ER several times and had them drained and then they go away but usually reoccur at some later time. Today he has another one but the ER has told him there is no pus in it to drain so they are sending him home on antibiotics. What should he do if it continues to swell - it is almost covering his throat entirely now.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

Please visit your ER again if your son develops more nodules or the tonsils continue to swell , as he will need the pus to be drained , meanwhile please continue the antibiotics. I would also recommend that you meet your ent doctor , for considering getting the tonsils removed by surgery , so that your son gets a permanent cure.

Thanks
