My self Dhirendra Jain from Ahmedabad, India.
My Son who is going to be 2 Years on 12-Apr-2011 is suffering with ASD. I brought my Son to the well-known holpital called CIMS (Care Institute
of Medical Sciences) where Doctor tested him and got the ECHO for him. He is then reported by Large Sinus Venosus ASD-PAPVC to right upper
Pulmonary vein. Mild PAH.
We have also tried other hospitals for the ECHO and we are told the same result.
I am also providing the finding conclusion of the ECHO:
Finding Description:
1. Situs solitus, Levocardia.
2. Normal Systemic venous drainage.
3. AV concordance. D-loop ventricles.
4. VA concordance.
5. Two patent AV valves.
6. Large sinus venosus ASD-PAPVC to Right upper pulmonary vein. Left to right shunt.
7. IVS: Intact.
8. No LVOT/RVOT obstruction.
9. Trivial TR, No MR, AR.
10. No PDA flow seen.
11. Left aortic arch, No coarctation.
12. Dilated RA, RV, PA, Normal ventricular function.
13. Mild PAH, TR max PG: 30 mm Hg.
14. No paricardial effusion.
Conclusion:
Large sinus venosus ASD-PAPVC to right upper Pulmonary vein.
Mild PAH.
I will provide you the ECHO Images and the Movies of ECHO if required.
So My consern is, Will it be compulsory to go for surgery on this defect OR will it be cured by just Medication without surgery.
Pls help me to give proper advice.
