General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
You may be experiencing an adverse reaction to the levothyroxine medication. Some individuals may be sensitive to the medication and may experience side effects such as chest pain, rapid heart rate, and throat tightness. It is important to discuss your symptoms with your healthcare provider, as they may need to adjust your medication dose or consider alternative treatment options.
In addition, it is important to rule out any other potential causes of your symptoms, such as an underlying heart or thyroid condition. Your healthcare provider may recommend additional tests or evaluations to determine the cause of your symptoms and develop an appropriate treatment plan. It is important to follow their recommendations and communicate any concerns or questions you may have.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
