What are the symptoms of a sciatic nerve problem and how do you treat the situation? Pain radiates from the buttocks and hip area with a burning , stinging sensation running all the way down the leg to the ankle area! Thanks for your assistance! Luke

Hello,
I believe it can be sciatica taking count that the pain starts from lower back to ankle.A herniated disc on spine can compress the nerves on lower back causing the pain and burning sensation.
Use antiinflammatory drugs such advil for pain. use cold compresses on lower back. Do stretching exercises the upcoming days.
